Another pallet delivery trophy
TPN put another trophy on the mantelpiece after picking up the Supply Chain Excellence in Distribution and Transport award at the second National Supply Chain Awards earlier this year. The award was presented by Shane Clifford, Client Solutions Manager of Zetes, the supply chain IT specialists.
The panel of judges picked The Pallet Network from a final shortlist of three because: “it encourages hauliers to work together to provide each other with a reciprocal low cost collection and delivery service. and they’ve proved that by working together the whole adds up to very much more than the sum of the parts. The management team has done a great job of supporting its member, boosting their incomes and lobbying very successfully on their behalf.”
The M.D of TPN said, “all member should be very proud of the role they play in helping TPB win such an award, without the members hard work and professionalism, there wouldn’t be a network at all.”
The Nation Supply Chain Awards are run by Event Strategies in conjunction with its supply chain conference. the conference heard that in a survey by Amarach Research, 71% of companies now integrate supply chain into their business strategy, an increase of 11% over the past 18 months.
Such an increased realisation in the importance of the supply chain can only have a positive effect on TPN and its members, as efficient supply chains depend on efficient, timely and cost-effective transport. and as our latest award shows, no other transport company can match TPN for service excellence.
