The figures behind our move to solar
Featuring 1,200 Bloomberg Tier 1 Aiko panels – the highest possible grade of panels for quality, reliability and financial stability – our new state-of-the-art system generates 750 kW of clean, renewable energy.
Given the huge amounts of energy that can be produced by solar power today, the positive impact of this initiative will be truly remarkable across our entire site.
Our new solar energy system will provide carbon offsets equivalent to:
- 4.6 million gallons of diesel consumed – a substantial reduction in fossil fuel reliance.
- 177,000 tree seedlings grown for 10 years – supporting biodiversity and improving air quality.
- 24,921 barrels of oil consumed – showcasing our commitment to renewable energy sources.
- 410,294 lightbulbs switched to LED – reflecting our pursuit of energy efficiency.
Of course, these figures only represent a select timeframe. When the rest of our working future is taken into account, the amount of carbon we will have offset would be a staggering figure, highlighting the significance of the movement to clean, renewable energy for long-lasting results.
The public shift towards clean energy
With the risks of climate change being raised in the media more than ever before, and more consumers choosing eco-friendly alternatives in their day-to-day spending, it’s clear people are making a serious effort to save the planet in droves.
Not only that but, according to data from a recent report, 76% of people now value sustainability over almost all other variables in daily decision-making – a number that simply cannot be ignored.
